SUP TIPS:

  • Expect to be involved for 90-120 minutes.

  • Leave phone & valuables in the car. There is a dry bag provided to keep your car keys with us (on the water) while we do the class.

  • Wear what you feel comfortable in. Some people wear bikinis or board shorts. Some people wear athletic wear, or sun protective wear.

  • It’s hot. Bring a water bottle on board. Wear a cap. Sunglasses at your own risk!

  • Apply your SPF before arriving on site. It’s nicer for the boards when you don’t get on all slimy. No spray SPF is allowed to be brought on the boards - it ruins the deckpads.

  • There can be sharp shells or oysters on the beach. You may want to wear your shoes or flip flops until you get on the board.

  • Sharp shells/oysters are hazardous for our inflatable boards.
No walking or sitting on the boards on the beach.
Please pick up & carry the board into the water.
Please walk the board into at least knee deep water before hopping on. If the fin is touching the sand, you aren’t deep enough.

  • There is a lot to learn with the equipment - please ask if anything is unclear. Your safety is top priority.
